HISTORY

1981

Birth of WNLR

Blue Ridge Broadcasting, Inc. purchased the 1150AM frequency from WABH in Deerfield, VA, becoming WNLR with antenna located in Churchville, VA.

1984

New Life Ministries founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, purchasing airtime on WNLR. New studios and office built at current Eagle Rock Road location, next to 1150AM antenna.

1989

Power increased to 2,500 daytime watts.

1992

New Life Ministries purchased the 1150AM frequency and facilities from Blue Ridge Broadcasting.

2016

1150AM began streaming God’s Word worldwide online, 24 hours per day!

2021

The 1150AM broadcast signal reaches Augusta County and parts of Rockingham, Rockbridge, Albemarle, and Highland counties. In addition, the 1150 AM signal streams continuously worldwide via the internet 24/7!

Fall 2024

We give thanks to Lord Jesus Christ and our community for sustaining the ministry through the years! May God richly bless everone who invested in the broadcast.
